We recently received the following letter from one of our customers who purchased and installed a set of our “Step Board” style of running boards for their vehicle. The lady was very hesitant before purchasing this item whether or not she could install this item by herself; or if she would need to have this item professionally installed. We told her that many of our customers are able to install this item fairly easily by themselves. I am a 5’4″ 125 lb. woman and I bought running boards from you for my Mercury Mariner. Everyone said I was crazy for doing it myself but I got them on and they look great. The directions are easy to follow and once I got all my tools together it went very smoothly. The drivers side was my first attempt and it took about 3 hours. The passenger side took about 1.5 hours. I did have my husband come out and so some of the self starting screws when my arm got tired; but other than that the project was a success. I am very pleased with them. The paint color matches my SUV perfectly and really gives it a unified look. I put them on so my 3 year old son and my mom (double knee replacement) could get in the car without help; but I got a boost of self esteem at the same time.
