Before you begin installation, please verify that you have received the correct mirror pieces for your vehicle.
If not; then please contact us immediately.
For the best results, the temperature of the vehicle surface and the mirror pieces should be approximately
70°F (21°C). In colder conditions, please place the vehicle and the mirror pieces in a heated garage if possible to bring everything to its proper temperature.
STEP 1: CLEAN THE SURFACE
This is the most important step of all because if it not done properly, then the mirror pieces will not properly adhere to the surface. Using a soft rag and "WINDEX"; glass cleaner; gently wipe the entire surface that needs to be cleaned. A minimum of 2-3 minutes should be spent for this cleaning process.
STEP 2:
APPLY SILICONE ADHESIVE
Remove film from each piece and apply the silicone adhesive in the center and on each end of each piece. Also apply a small bead around the entire outside edge at least 1/2" away from the edges to avoid spillage. (Please see Illustration 1). NOTE: Some pieces may require a 3/8" to 1/2" layer of silicone in the center to level the piece evenly. Also some pieces that have no solid center to attach to will require you to place the silicone on the outside edges only. Apply rolls of masking tape in between the silicone to help the silicone to adhere faster.
STEP 3: ATTACH PIECES
Attach each mirror piece and hold firmly in place for approximately 7-10 minutes.
STEP 4:
APPLY MASKING TAPE
Apply masking tape to each piece so that it hits each corner and all sides; so that each piece is firmly held in place. NOTE: Please leave tape on for 2-3 hours only. Leaving the tape on longer may cause the paint to peel. Avoid using excess tape on the actual paint to avoid paint peeling.
STEP 5:
REMOVE MASKING TAPE
Remove the masking tape gently to avoid peeling the paint. Remove film from each piece.
